GUR 1050
Celanese · UHMW-PE · Polyethylene (HDPE, LDPE, UHMW-PE, plastomer)
GUR 1050 is a UHMW-PE grade from Celanese. The cited source lists it as compatible with gamma and EtO sterilization; lists it as not suitable for steam/autoclave. Source
Data comes from public supplier literature (cited on each grade page). A blank cell means not stated in the source, not "no". Always confirm with the supplier's current documentation before use.

Data note: Source dated 2018: Celanese brochure "Medical and Pharmaceutical Materials" (MED-016, printed 2018, third-party hosted copy). It lists cytotoxicity testing for the grade; its only ISO 10993 mention is a general service-package line ("USP Class VI / ISO 10993, etc.") that doesn't name the grade or its product line, so the ISO 10993 column is left blank. Celanese's GUR product manual (2016) states USP Class VI and FDA Master Files for the medical grades but no ISO 10993 statement; no current grade datasheet with an ISO 10993 statement was found (checked 2026-10-17).
