Data license

MedResin is free to search, read and cite. This page explains which uses of the data are free and which need a written license from us. It adds detail to the data terms and works alongside the terms of use. If the two ever seem to conflict, ask us and we will clarify in writing.
What this covers
These terms cover MedResin's compilation of 417 grades from 29 manufacturers: the selection of grades, the fields and how they are coded, the source links and the verification dates, in any format (website, CSV, JSON, llms-full.txt). The underlying facts belong to no one, and manufacturers own their own documents and trademarks. Nothing here limits any use the law allows without a license.
Free use
No license or payment is needed to:
- search, browse and compare grades on the site;
- download the files and use them for your own work, study, research or teaching;
- use the data as a reference inside your organization, for example when shortlisting materials;
- quote or cite individual values, tables or summaries in articles, reports, presentations, posts or AI answers.
When you share or publish anything drawn from the data, credit "Source: MedResin.com" with a link to https://medresin.com.
Uses that need a commercial license
Please contact us for a written license before you:
- redistribute in bulk: republish, resell or share all or a substantial part of the dataset, or deliver it to others as a file or data feed;
- offer an API or data service: serve the data, or data derived from it, to others through an API, a hosted tool or a feed;
- build it into software or a product: include the data in software, a database, a material-selection tool or another product that you sell, license or distribute to others;
- use it in a commercial AI product: use the data to train, fine-tune or ground an AI model or service that is offered commercially, beyond quoting values with attribution.
Licenses can cover bulk files in agreed formats, scheduled updates, API access and software or embedding rights. Terms depend on the use, so there is no standard price: contact us and we will reply with options.
How to ask
Email hello@medresin.com with the subject "Data license inquiry" and tell us:
- your organization and a contact name;
- what you want to do (bulk files, API, software or AI use) and roughly how many users or customers it would reach;
- which fields you need and how often you need updates.
We reply by email. Nothing is licensed until we both sign a written agreement.
No warranty
Licensed or not, the data is provided as-is, compiled from public manufacturer literature, and may be incomplete or out of date. It is reference information, not medical, engineering or regulatory advice. Always check the current manufacturer data sheet and do your own testing and regulatory review.
